Julia Byrem, E-RYT 500 for an afternoon of personal exploration and growth.

Beginning at the beginning, we will explore the supporting philosophies of Ayurveda, including Samkya and basic sanskrit. We will also discuss the ways that Yoga is considered the “sister science” of Ayurveda, and the ways in which they work together.

We will do self-inquiry in order to begin to understand what a “dosha” is, and then explore apsects of dinacharya (the daily routine). As the mainstays of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, we will learn how a seasonal routine and the daily clock are the key players in diet, nutrition, and self-care. We will also discuss the ways in which asana, pranayama and meditation help to balance the doshas and gunas.

No prior knowledge of Ayurveda is necessary.
