During your practice on one of those days, gently remind yourself that you should only do what your body says you can do. I was getting very frustrated with myself because I’ve done Ashtanga multiple times but, for some unknown reason, I couldn’t even hold Warrior 2. I had to remind myself that I shouldn’t get mad at myself because I know my body can do amazing things. Yesterday it just needed a little rest.
Keep thinking about your own amazing body, take care of it and don’t punish yourself for what you can’t do. If your yoga practice today consists only of breathing deeply in Child’s Pose for an hour, then so be it.
